HEAD CURATOR/FACILITIES OFFICER - Darwin-based

The Head Curator/Facilities Officer is responsible for the development, management and upkeep of all NT Cricket playing surfaces and cricket facilities to a First Class standard. This role has a primary focus on cricket however is also involved in other general turf and facilities management duties.

The Head Curator/Facilities Officer manages all general maintenance, safety issues and the appearance of the Marrara Cricket Complex. They will maintain various practice wicket areas, the centre wicket areas on No. 1 and No. 2 ovals and consult/manage pitch preparation in other areas and/or venues as required.

The successful applicant will have the required technical skills and qualifications in the preparation of cricket wickets, effective time management and scheduling skills and be capable of providing sound wicket and turf management advice to the CEO, clubs and other stakeholders as required.

GAME AND MARKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Northern Territory Cricket (NT Cricket) is the peak sporting body for cricket in the NT and we aim to unite, inspire and support all those who love the sport.

One of the key pillars of the Australian and NT Cricket strategy is to increase participation by creating effective connections between the classrooms, communities and cricket clubs through the various grass roots, Indigenous, female, volunteering, coaching and umpiring programs that are run throughout the Territory.


We are seeking an energetic and proactive leader to join our team. You will be based in Darwin and establish a network of permanent and casual staff throughout the Territory to deliver sustainable participation growth across the NT with a strong emphasis on school and entry level programs, women’s cricket and Indigenous cricket.  Your excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge and passion for the game will ensure your success as you work with a diverse group of stakeholders.
