NT Cricket is a not-for-profit organisation governed by its Management Board. The Board is responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth and accountability of the organisation. There are up to ten Board Directors of which the members of the Association elect six and the Board appoints up to another four Directors.
NT Cricket is an associate member of Cricket Australia.

NT Cricket Patron
The Honourable Sally Thomas AM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, is NT Cricket’s patron.
Her Honour was sworn in as the 20th and first female administrator of the Northern Territory on 31 October 2011. Prior to her appointment Her Honour was a Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory from 1992 to 2009, and was the first female Judge in the Northern Territory. During the immediate period following her retirement of the Supreme Court, Her Honour played an active role in the community as patron, president and chairperson of numerous organisations.
