| National
Coach Accreditation Pathway for NT Cricket |
Cricket Australia (CA) is the national body responsible for
cricket development throughout Australia. Among its many roles,
it provides the means by which cricket development nationally
can be managed, and provides a structure for the improvement
in the quality and status of coaching and officiating at all
levels at which the game is played.
Northern Territory Cricket (NTC) has been formally recognized
by CA as a game development region and one of its many functions
is to operate national development and coach education programs
within the region in accordance with the CA strategic plan (from
Backyard to Baggy Green).
The purpose of this document is to outline the role of NT Cricket
in delivering a coach accreditation system that compliments
and works in conjunction with the CA Education and Training

| Coaching
accreditation philosophy |
It is important that accreditation in itself is not the goal
of this system, rather to improve knowledge and coaching techniques,
for School teachers, volunteers, helpers or People who just
want to be involved in the game.
Northern Territory Cricket acknowledges the critical role coachs
play at all levels. To assist the coachs process, a coach
development pathway has been designed for the beginner right
through to the experienced coach.
To assist Northern Territory in improving our coaching courses
it is important that we receive feedback from participants via
a participants course evaluation form. |
