The 2008 Mid Year Carnival will be held in Darwin from 30 June to 11 July. The draw for the event can be found HERE.

National Primary School Exchange - Darwin
The School Sport Australia National Primary School Exchange will be held in Darwin from 16 - 22 June. The draw for the event can be found HERE.

Finals to be played at TIO Stadium
The 2008 Casuarina Club Cup One Day Final will be played at TIO Stadium on Saturday July 26. Palmerston will take on Tracy Village in the first ever Darwin Grade Cricket match to be played at TIO. Actions starts at 11:00am.

The McDonald's Cup Twenty20 Competition finals have also been moved to TIO Stadium for Sunday July 27. Finalists are yet to be decided.

2008 U17 Development Squad
The 2008 U17 Development Squad has been selected which includes the following players:Alex Bleakley (Palmerston), Matthew Hanna (Palmerston), Rob Vandermeulen (Palmerston), Arnout Faveere (Palmerston), Johnno Crowe (Palmerston), Brad Zanker (Palmerston), Patrick Gallow (Sthn Districts), David Parrington (Sthn Districts), Josh Lonie (Sthn Districts), Joel Bock (Sthn Districts), Peter Fry (Sthn Districts), Mitchell Mullen (Sthn Districts), Andrew Owens (Sthn Districts), Louis Dekretser (Darwin), Julien Brown (Darwin), Dion Meta (Darwin), Brodie Field (Darwin), Tim Pike (Darwin), Ben Cox (Darwin), Alex Blakey (Darwin), Paul Carbone (Tracy Village), Gavin Lycett (Tracy Village), Brendan Thornton (Waratah), Ben Capper (Waratah), Nik Alexopoulos (Waratah), Kyle McKenzie (Nightcliff) and Brad Allen (Pint).

This is an initial squad that will commence training in preparation for the 2008 Mid-Year Carnival;

• A NT U17 squad of 20 will be chosen from performances in the 2008 Mid-Year Carnival
• A NT U17 team will play in the Cricket Australia U17 National Championships to be held in  Perth, Jan 2009
• The Coach of the U17 Development Squad is Steve Bleakley, Palmerston Cricket Club.

 The selection process was based on;

• Performances at club cricket 2007-2008
• Performances at 2007 Mid-Year Carnival
• Performances at National underage championships in 2008
• Consultation with club coaches

Players can be added to the squad on performances at club cricket in the 2008 season

Players can be omitted due to poor performances, or poor attitude, through out the training period

The following players have been selected; Matthew Hanna (Plamerston), Gavin Lycett (Tracy Village), Bradley Zanker (Palmerston), Ben Cox (Darwin), Patrick Gallow (Southern Districts), Dion Meta (Darwin), Julien Brown (Darwin), Jack Anstey (Darwin), Luke Robins (Pint), Chris Hardy (Southern Districts), Taylor Mullen (Southern Districts), Daniel Evers (Palmerston), Sam West (Waratah), Matt Sinclair (Darwin) and Brandon Fildes (Pint) with Coach David King.
