The Carlton Mid Darwin and Districts Cricket Competition is the Top End’s flagship competition, held in the dry season, from April through to September. Since its inception in the 1960’s, the competition has evolved to include 7 major and 2 minor clubs across the Darwin and District region in men’s and women’s divisions. 2012 Initiatives and Developments:
- Fosters announced their continued support of the DDCC by becoming naming rights sponsors through their nominated brand, Carlton Mid, for the next four years
- Season 2012 brings about change to the Premier Grade Competition with a full round of each format: Twenty20, 50 Over One Day and 80 Over Two Day cricket. This makes for a busy season with double header T20 games on Sundays and a round of T20 on Anzac Day. There will also be a T20 Final and the Casuarina Club Cup One Day Final.
- The DDCC will be supporting the McGrath Foundation by involvement in the DDCC “Pink Stumps Day”. This important fundraising event is scheduled on Saturday 7th July in all A Grade fixtures.
