The Cows will take on the Bats for the 2017 title in a Thirty30 match at the Dr Peter Short Oval. Both Finalists are tied on 14 points apiece, after 15 rounds of cricket this season.  Everyone is welcome to the game to support the teams as they wrap up the season in what promises to be a competitive game.

The Presentation will be held after the game, with refreshments served from 6pm at the Katherine Country Club, to celebrate an excellent 2017 season.

NT Cricket’s Game and Market Development Manager, Mitch Farnell will be in Katherine for the weekend’s match.  “I’m looking forward to seeing the final and how cricket is continuing to develop in the Katherine region. We’ve got strong interest in cricket and we’re thankful for the commitment people have to our great game”.

The Katherine Region enjoys a strong cricket history with the prestigious Nitmiluk Cup being held in the region.  Last year, a record number of 29 teams participated in the competition with players travelling long distances to compete.   The October School Holiday Program is coming soon and offers opportunities for girls and boys to take part in fun activities as a way of building their cricket skills.

Congratulations to all players, officials and fans who support and play cricket in the Katherine region.
