Batting first the Desert Blaze scored an impressive 104 runs, thanks in large part to a sensational unbeaten half century by 15 year old Amber Cloughessy. The Palmerston CC, NT Cricket and SACA Under 18 squad member bought up her half century off the last ball of the Blaze innings. Bowlers Byron, Giacomo, Sefton and Morrison each collecting a wicket.

It would take a team effort for the Tide to chase down a big total and captain Kat Byron didn’t disappoint, leading the Tide home in the second to last over in an innings where all batters contributed. Kylie Hyde was the pick of the bowlers collecting 2 scalps from her 4 overs. Amber Cloughessy was awarded the Julie Page player of the final medal.
