There is a Women's Cricket Competition in both the Darwin and Alice Springs regions and the sport is continually growing throughout the NT. An annual Territory wide cricket competition called the Desert Rose Cup is held every October in both Darwin and Alice Springs alternatively.

The 2009 Desert Rose Cup will be held in Darwin from October 9-11 at Marrara Cricket Ground. The Desert Rose Cup is proudly sponsored by G&K Akers.

Darwin Women's Cricket
The Women’s Cricket Competition falls under the banner of Darwin & District Cricket. There are currently four (4) teams in the competition. Players range in age from 13 to 50 years, and the competition is played in the spirit of fun, fitness and friendship. The format for 2008 will be Super 8s with the option for 20/20 matches towards the end of the season if numbers permit.
Dates for the 2010 season are yet to be finalised however girls and women of all ages are encouraged to play.
