Gardens Oval lights trial

Upcoming games at Gardens Oval can be found here.

NT Cricket has been investigating ways to make better use our facilities to support increasing numbers of women and juniors in our sport and, where possible, provide all our members with an option to play in the cool of the evening.

We have also been keen to create options for our elite Territorian players to experience the game under lights.

As residents living nearby, we are writing to provide details of the City of Darwin’s approval for a trial of increased light levels at Gardens Oval and provide contact details for NT Cricket and the City of Darwin should you have any concerns.

The City of Darwin approved our request to use the lighting facilities at Gardens Oval to its fullest capacity (500 lux) for a two month trial period from April to June at a Council meeting held Tuesday 30 March.
