The first set of day/night fixtures will be played beginning Saturday afternoon, including the first ASCA fixture using the new lights at Albrecht Oval.

Highlighting the round will be a replay of last year’s one day final with Federal Asbuild going head to head with West.

The two sides are still yet to meet in a one day match this season with their last scheduled fixture abandoned due to rain, giving Saturday’s encounter extra significance.

Having met in the past two one day finals, the rivalry between the two sides has grown into a healthy competition in recent years and Saturday’s clash will likely prove no different.

Federal will head into the fixture as favourites, having not dropped a match yet across the one-day competition with West hot on their heels.

For Federal, it has been promising to see the development of the club’s young players with teenagers Sidhak Dhingra and Cooper Blanch cementing their spot in the line-up.

The young duo, paired with the consistent performance of captain Dan Donaldson, has helped Federal remain undefeated through the one-day season to date.

The side will face their sternest test yet on Saturday however with reigning premiers West keen to hit top form in the lead up to finals action.

West have not hit the park for two weeks following a bye and rain, meaning the Bloods are itching to return to the field.

West and Federal will meet on Saturday afternoon at Traeger Park from 2.30pm.

In the other fixture, Albrecht Oval’s new lights will be put to the test when Complete Constructions Cricket Club meet Solergy Alice Tigers on Saturday.

Both sides remain locked in a battle for third spot on the competition ladder, and the last spot in the finals series.

Saturday’s game could go a long way to deciding who will finish in third spot, a position the Tigers currently hold but a win on Saturday would see the two sides swap spots.

CCCC and Alice Tigers will meet on Saturday from 2.30pm.

In the B Grade one day competition, Federal Asbuild and West will square off at 12.30pm at Flynn Reserve in a battle between first and second respectively.

In the other B Grade fixture, CCCC and Solergy Alice Tigers will meet at Rhonda Diano from 12.30pm.

The C Grade one day competition will feature three matches across the weekend, with Federal Asbuild White meeting West at Paul Fitzsimons Oval from 1pm on Saturday and Rovers taking on Federal Asbuild Red at Ross Park.

On Sunday, CCCC will meet Alice Tigers at Paul Fitzsimons Oval from 1pm.
