Three rounds into the Alice Springs Cricket Association one day competition and batsmen in the Red Centre aren’t in any mood to slow down.

After five centuries across the first two rounds of the A Grade competition, Solergy Alice Tigers’ Ajaypal Singh Brar saved the best innings of the season for last week.

Brar was unstoppable at the crease against Complete Constructions Cricket Club, smashing a stunning 136 from just 58 deliveries including 12 sixes.

The Tigers will hope Brar’s form can carry over to their round four fixture when they take on Rovers at Jim McConville Oval.

While Brar’s innings helped the Tigers to their first win of the season, Rovers have yet to register a victory through two matches and will be desperate to open their account on Saturday. That match will begin at 12.30pm.

In the other A Grade fixture of round four, reigning champions West will be hoping to bounce back when they take on Complete Constructions.

West suffered their first loss of the season last weekend against Federal, and will hope that is simply a blip on the radar as they chase back-to-back premierships this season.

Complete Construction meanwhile share second spot on the table with West and a win would see them take sole ownership of second.

That match will be played at Jim McConville Oval on Sunday from 12.30pm.

In the women’s competition, West will be aiming for their third consecutive win when they meet Federal Asbuild on tonight.

West have hit form early in the season, led by skipper Bronte Stray with bat in hand. That match will be played at Flynn Reserve from 6pm.

In the late fixture, Solergy Alice Tigers will take on Complete Constructions Cricket Club from 8pm.

In the B Grade competition, Solergy Alice Tigers will hope to keep touch with Federal Asbuild at the top of the table when they meet Rovers on Saturday.

Tigers have just the one win from three matches to begin the season but a second win this week will see the side close the gap on Federal to just one game. That match will begin at 12.30pm Saturday at Flynn Reserve.

Similarly, Complete Constructions Cricket Club and West can both close within one win of Federal when the two sides meet at Rhonda Diano Oval.

Both sides have had mixed fortunes so far this season with one win each, and will be looking to return to the winner’s circle tomorrow.

In the C Grade T20 Competition, three fixtures will have spectators salivating this weekend.

In the first match, Federal Asbuild White will meet Federal Asbuild Red in a clash between the same club. They will square off at Paul Fitzsimons Oval on Saturday from 12pm.

Also meeting at Paul Fitzsimons oval will be West and Rovers from 3pm.

In the other fixture of the week, Solergy Alice Tigers and Complete Constructions Cricket Club will meet at Ross Park from 1pm.
