After a season full of big hitting and massive scores, it was the bowlers’ turn to take centre stage in round four of the Alice Springs Cricket Association One Day Competition last week.

Round four marked the first week no batsman reached the century mark, with bowlers instead making their mark on the competition.

None were more dominant than Solergy Alice Tigers’ Shihab Ebrahim, who tore through Rovers’ batting lineup to give his side their second win of the season.

Ebrahim took figures of 5/52 from nine overs as Tigers cruised to victory.

Rovers will face a difficult task to rebound this week as they face reigning champions West on Saturday afternoon.

The Double Blues have failed to register a win so far in season 2020/21 but their largely young squad have shown fight in recent weeks to remain competitive.

West meanwhile were back in the winner’s circle last week with a comprehensive six-wicket win against Complete Constructions Cricket Club.

That match will begin from 12.30pm on Saturday at Jim McConville Oval.

Sunday’s fixture will see top-of-the-table Federal Asbuild back in action as they take on CCCC.

Fresh from the bye, Federal remain the competition’s only remaining undefeated team and are sitting pretty at the top of the table.

CCCC meanwhile have one win from three attempts and will be desperate to find form as quickly as possible.

That match will be played at Jim McConville Oval on Sunday from 12.30pm.

In the women’s competition, West will be hoping for their fourth consecutive victory when they face Complete Constructions Cricket Club on Thursday night.

The Bloods have been in great form in recent weeks, and are fresh off a strong win against top side Federal Asbuild last week.

West and CCCC will face off on Thursday night at Flynn Reserve from 6pm.

In the late fixture on Thursday night, Federal Asbuild will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Solergy Alice Tigers from 8pm.

In the B Grade competition, Federal will hope to maintain their unbeaten start to the new season when they face CCCC at Rhonda Diano Oval.

Federal’s batting order, led by Craig Prettejohn, has been unstoppable so far this season. That match will begin at 12.30pm.

In the other B Grade fixture, Rovers will aim to record their first win of the season when they take on West at Flynn Reserve.

In the C Grade T20 competition, Complete Constructions Cricket Club will face Federal Asbuild White at Paul Fitzsimons Oval from 12pm.

Federal are in red hot form and sit at the top of the table, with middle order batsman Luke Tulloch in rare form. Tulloch hit a blazing 96* in the side’s round four win and will again look to lead his side to victory.

Also at Paul Fitzsimons Oval, Rovers and West will square off at 3pm.

In the third game of the day, Federal Asbuild Red will square off with Solergy Alice Tigers at Ross Park from 1pm.
