NT Cricket is seeking an experienced and dynamic candidate to live and work in Darwin. This dynamic position plays a pivotal role in promoting and facilitating the development of cricket in the Darwin and Palmerston region, inspiring the next generation of players and volunteers in the Top End.

The Role and Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Community Cricket Team based in Darwin, the position of Cricket Manager (Darwin and Palmerston) reports to the Head of Community Cricket and is part of a small, multi-skilled and collaborative team. The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders (local government, businesses, multicultural communities, clubs, associations, indoor sports centres, schools, etc)
- Leading, developing and managing recruitment and retention of casual staff and volunteers in order to maximise club development, entry level programs and increase opportunities for everyone to enjoy and participate in cricket
- Developing operational / project plans to ensure effective delivery of programs and assist Associations/Clubs to implement best practice policies and procedures
- Collaborating with the Community Cricket Team across the Northern Territory to deliver programs including regional community cricket carnivals
To be successful, you will have a passion for combining your sporting experience and history as a cricket player, coach or administrator with your professional career. You will have attained a tertiary qualification in a relevant field which will enable you be effective in this diverse role (eg. Sports Management, Sports Administration, Training, Business, Marketing/Sales). The ideal applicant will have a professional network across cricket in the NT and across other states and the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders. You will have a can-do attitude, be willing to be hands-on and help support your colleagues within a tight knit team.
