On Friday 24 July, Northern Territory Cricket Association Inc (NTCA) held a Special General Meeting (SGM) to vote on proposed constitution reforms.
The SGM was well attended by Members, where two special resolutions were considered to make amendments to the NTCA Constitution. Each Special Resolution required a 75% vote in favour in order for the reforms to be adopted.
Special Resolution 1, proposing an amendment to the current NTCA Constitution to facilitate a transition to a company model per Special Resolution 2, was passed with 91% of voting Members in favour.
Special Resolution 2, proposing a change in NTCA legal structure, name and adoption of new constitution, was unsuccessful with the 71% of Members voting in favour of the reforms narrowly falling short of the required 75% threshold for the resolution to be adopted.
NT Cricket would like to thank all Members for their engagement on this important matter.
