As we continue to draw closer to the Christmas break in the Alice Springs Cricket Association season, top-of-the-table side Federal Asbuild have been anything but festive.

Fresh off a dominant display against bottom side Rovers last week, Federal remain the only undefeated side in the A Grade one day competition through six rounds of action.

With their hot start largely thanks to their older stars, Federal have also found diamonds in the way of their youth in season 2020/21.

This was highlighted last week when Elizabeth Johnson became the youngest female in Alice Springs Cricket Association history to play in an A Grade fixture, taking home player of the match honours along the way.

Johnson took figures of 3/18 in her senior debut, impressing alongside fellow young gun Cooper Blanch so far this season.

Federal will aim to continue their red hot form on Saturday when they take on the hot and cold Solergy Alice Tigers.

Tigers are fresh from a heavy defeat to West, their second such loss this season and will need a better showing with bat in hand to challenge Federal.

That match will take place at Jim McConville Oval from 12.30pm on Saturday.

In the other A Grade fixture, Rovers will be hoping to post their first win of the season when they take on Complete Constructions Cricket Club.

That match will begin from 12.30pm on Saturday from Albrecht Oval.

In the women’s competition, the two top teams will battle it out when West and Federal Asbuild square off.

The two sides have been dominant so far this season, with the winner of this fixture taking top spot on the competition ladder.

That match will be played on Thursday at Flynn Reserve from 8pm.

In the early game at Flynn Reserve, both Complete Constructions Cricket Club and Solergy Alice Tigers will be hoping to maintain touch with the top two teams when they square off at 6pm.

Both sides have registered just one win in season 2020/21 and will hope to double their tally under lights.

In the B Grade, a top-of-the-table clash highlights round seven as Federal Asbuild and Solergy Alice Tigers face off at Flynn Reserve from 12.30pm.

In the other fixture, Complete Constructions Cricket Club and Rovers will meet at Rhonda Diano Oval with a win seeing Complete Constructions draw back into finals contention.

In the C Grade T20 competition, a triple header highlights round seven led by Complete Constructions Cricket Club playing West at Paul Fitzsimons Oval from 12pm.

Also at Paul Fitzsimons Oval, Federal Asbuild White will take on Federal Asbuild Red at 3pm.

In the other fixture, Rovers and Solergy Alice Tigers will meet at Ross Park from 1pm.
