The Southern Storm advanced through to the TIO T20 Strike League Grand Final following their 12 run win over the Desert Blaze on Wednesday night.

Last night (Thursday) all three remaining teams were in the race to join the Storm in the Grand Final, the determining factor was the result of the City Cyclones vs Northern Tide game.

Going into the final innings of the round games, the City Cyclones required 178 runs in a mere 13 overs to progress, an epic task. However when Cyclones Captain Jack Edwards faced the first ball and hit it for a monster 6, the boys in green knew they were up to the task.

Melbourne Stars player Nick Larkin made a huge 106 off 43 balls (n.o) and the Cyclones made the total in exactly 13 overs, progressing through to the Grand Final much to a disappointed Desert Blaze who missed out by 0.07%.

Tonight’s Grand Final is anyone’s game with the Cyclones hitting form just at the right time and Southern Storm have been consistent throughout the entire Cricket 365 competition in both the One Day series and T20 matches.
