Following the announcement from the Northern Territory Government today that the Greater Darwin Area and Katherine regions will go into a 72 hour lockdown from midday, all cricket activity in the Top End will cease until midday on Thursday 19 August.

The health and wellbeing of our community is paramount and we urge everyone to follow the advice of the government and health authorities.

TIO Strike League matches scheduled to take place over the next 72 hours have been postponed. Updates on the resumption of the TIO Strike League and this weekend’s scheduled fixtures across the Darwin & Districts Cricket Competition and Katherine & Districts Cricket Association will be provided over the coming days.

NT Cricket encourages the community to monitor the NT Government’s dedicated coronavirus website (coronavirus.nt.gov.au) and continue to be diligent in mitigating the spread of coronavirus by:

  • Checking in to all venues using the Territory Covid-19 check in app;
  • Getting tested and isolating if you develop symptoms;
  • Practicing good personal hygiene by regularly washing hands and using hand sanitiser;
  • Following Cricket Australia’s Covid-19 safety guidelines; and
  • Getting vaccinated.
