In its final minor round of the 2020 Male Under 15 National Cricket Championships NT squared off against South Australia at Eastern Oval, Ballarat.
NT won the toss and again chose to bat first – and in familiar circumstances, a batting slump followed. Only Thomas Menzies (26) offered any top order resistance until he was unnecessarily runout. Three additional runouts didn’t help the batting cause, however, a positive may be that it still took SA 46 overs to dismiss their opponents.
When bowling, Damon Krake chipped in with an early wicket, but facing no real scoreboard pressure, the red-caps batters ran down the modest Territory total without further mishap and recorded a nine-wicket victory.
South Australia: 1-104 (11.5) (Will Patton 48 n.o.) d Northern Territory: 10-100 (46.3) (Thomas Menzies 26; Hamish Case 2-7, Deakin Murphy 2-19).
