There Is Nothing Like Darwin Cricket

We know there is nothing like a Mindil Beach sunset, or anything like a Darwin laksa and there really is nothing like catching a Barra.

Just like these iconic Top End experiences, there is nothing like Darwin Cricket.

So this dry season, pick up the bat, dust off the helmet and let's play cricket!

There are 7 clubs which compete in the Darwin & Districts Cricket Competition, played during the dry season (April to September) with opportunities for men, women, boys and girls to all play cricket.

With the 2024 season scheduled to commence with senior cricket on Saturday 13 April, followed by Women's and Junior Cricket the following week, clubs are currently accepting registrations for all grades from Woolworths Cricket Blast to Senior Cricket.

In preparation of the season, NT Cricket will be providing opportunities for the cricket community to complete their Level 1 Community Coaching Accreditation on Saturday 16, Saturday 23 and Monday 25 March with a women's only course scheduled for Friday 12 April. The NT Cricket Match Officials Association will be conducting a Community Officiating Course to upskill umpires ahead of Round 1 on Monday 11 March at DXC Arena. The registration link can be found here. 

The Northern Territory Government will also be holding a Coaching (I'm a new coach, What am I supposed to do?) and Officiating (Improving my performance) workshops to support the ongoing professional development of coaches and professionals on Monday 11 and Monday 18 March both online and in the Arafura Stadium.
