Bronte Stray named Febuary AANT Volunteer of the Month

NT Cricket, in partnership with AANT, is pleased to recognise Bronte Stray from West Cricket Club as February’s AANT Volunteer of the Month.

Bronte plays an important leadership role within the Alice Springs cricket community, serving as Vice President at West Cricket Club and as the Women’s Representative for the Alice Springs Cricket Association (ASCA). Through these roles, she works to strengthen the development, visibility and structure of women’s cricket across the region.

A strong advocate for female participation, Bronte is committed to ensuring women’s cricket continues to grow within ASCA. She supports the development of stronger competition structures, encourages greater opportunities for female players and helps create an environment where women and girls feel welcomed, valued and supported within the sport.

Her contribution extends well beyond administration. Bronte is known for her reliability and willingness to step in wherever needed, whether coordinating teams, supporting match days, assisting with administration, mentoring players or contributing to junior development initiatives. Much of this work happens behind the scenes and reflects her genuine commitment to the cricket community.

Bronte continues to advocate strongly for women’s cricket within West Cricket Club. She ensures female players have a voice and are supported both on and off the field, contributing to increased participation, stronger team culture and a more connected women’s cricket community.

Bronte’s leadership and dedication to growing opportunities for women and girls in cricket make her a deserving recipient of February’s AANT Volunteer of the Month Award.

NT Cricket and AANT thank Bronte for her outstanding contribution by awarding her a 12-month Premium AANT Membership and a $250 United fuel voucher.
