Top End Multicultural Cup

Congratulations to 2024 Champions Kings XI Punjab who defeated team United by 9 runs in a close grand final match on Sunday 22 October at Wanguri Oval.

The inaugural Top End Multicultural Cup, hosted by Cricket Academy NT, was a success with 12 teams participating in the four-week T20 cricket tournament.

The tournament, which promotes and celebrates unity through cricket, featured 32 rounds games held at three locations around Darwin. 

Ceylon Warriors Akila Ramanadan was the leading run scorer of the tournament making 229 runs with an average of 45.8 while Kings bowler Andrew Bourne took the most wickets including taking two crucial wickets in his teams Grand Final victory.

Cricket Academy NT Director Udara Weerasinghe thanked all of the players who took part in this years tournament and is already looking forward to what 2024 looks like.
