NT Cricket Celebrates National Volunteer Week 2024

National Volunteer Week, Australia's largest celebration of volunteers, starts today, Monday 20 May 2024 and will run through to Sunday 26 May 2024.

Established in 1989, National Volunteer Week is the premier celebration of volunteers and volunteering in Australia and each year, this special event provides an opportunity for us to highlight the important role of volunteers across our cricket community.

There are 3.3 million sports volunteers in Australia, including 34,500 Territorians, who provide an estimated $4 billion of value to the Australian economy each year. National Volunteer Week provides an ideal platform for us to celebrate the contribution that volunteers bring to our sport.

This year, we will spend our week highlighting stories of our cricket volunteers and the incredible work that they do, encouraging our clubs and associations to celebrate and thank their volunteers as we do the same, and conclude the week on Sunday 26 May with the announcement of this month’s ‘AANT Volunteer of the Month’.

Volunteering Australia have produced a number of digital resources to help clubs and associations celebrate their volunteers, including online certificates and e-cards, social media tiles, logos and certificates.
