Northern Territory Cricket has announced the appointment of Daniel Kerber, who will join the team as Participation and Growth Lead based in Darwin.
Daniel will work directly with clubs, schools and local communities across the Territory, delivering programs from Woolworths Cricket Blast and Smash Series through to school initiatives and Junior Club Cricket.
With a deep-rooted love for cricket and a strong commitment to youth development, Daniel is passionate about breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds to connect with cricket and enjoy everything it has to offer.
Growing up in a cricket household with two older brothers and a father who all played the game, Daniel went on to start his own cricket bat brand in 2018, handcrafting bats for players from grassroots to state level. He has also worked as a Regional Cricket Officer for the South Australian Cricket Association and played for Darwin Cricket Club across the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
"Cricket has been a part of my life from a very young age. With two older brothers and a dad who all played, there was always a bat and ball wherever we went. I started a cricket brand in 2018, handcrafting bats for grassroots cricketers through to state-level players. I'm also an avid coach and love seeing players of all ages and abilities develop and improve. It's such a rewarding way of giving back to a game that has given me so much."
"The opportunity to visit some unique places across the vast Territory, while creating ongoing opportunities for Darwin locals and community cricketers to build their skills and confidence, is what I'm most looking forward to."
