The HHK Academy are part of the growing Kingsmen Global Franchise Group, with US-based owner Fawad Sarwar recently establishing the Hyderabad Kingsmen in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Jamaica Kingsmen in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
The Kingsmen were one of the Top End T20 Series most competitive teams last year, winning five of their six regular-round matches before their title hopes ended in the semi-finals.
The US based franchise is again expected to be strong, with last year’s side featuring all-rounder Hassan Khan (Melbourne Renegades, San Franciso Unicorns), former New Zealand international Scott Kuggeleijn and former IPL player Milind Kumar (Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore).
NT Cricket CEO Gavin Dovey:
"Global T20 franchise cricket is a big part of what the future of the sport looks like, and the Kingsmen are establishing themselves as a major player on that T20 circuit.
"We are indebted to owner Fawad Sarwar for sending the HHK Academy 15,000kms to Darwin and look forward to showcasing their talents to their huge US and Pakistani following."
The 2026 Study NT Top End T20 Series will feature 30 matches across 10 playing days at TIO Stadium, DXC Arena, Gardens Oval and Freds Pass.
Each team play six regular-round matches, providing players with a concentrated block of T20 cricket against domestic, international and emerging opposition.
Darwin’s dry-season window allows teams to extend their playing programs while competing in Australian conditions at the country’s home of winter cricket.
Tickets and further tournament information are available through the NT Cricket website.
