Top End T20: Tickets on Sale

Tickets are now on sale at Ticketebo for the biggest cricket event to hit the Territory in a long time! The Top End T20 Series will take place from 9 – 18 August.

The expanded nine-team tournament is expected to feature a host of elite Australian BBL players and overseas talent, including local boys D’Arcy Short and Jake Weatherald who return home to lead the NT Strike.  

The Top End T20 Series includes 30 blockbuster T20s across 10 days and 5 venues, including the following marque fixtures:  

Match 1 - Series Opener 

Friday 9 August – NT Strike v Perth Scorchers @ DXC Arena @ 6pm 

Get behind the local boys when they open the series against BBL powerhouse Perth Scorchers. The WA outfit has been an absolute production line of talent in recent years, so odds are you’ll be watching some of the superstars of tomorrow.  

Match 4 - T20 Back at TIO  

Saturday 10 August – Tasmania Tigers v Adelaide Strikers @ TIO Stadium @ 6pm 

Anyone who thinks TIO Stadium is an AFL venue hasn’t watched a game of cricket here. An unreal venue for cricket and a great way to spend a Saturday evening in the dry season with the family. Come see for yourself at the first game at TIO.  

Match 6 – Sunday Lunch (FREE ENTRY)

Sunday 11 August – NT Strike v Adelaide Strikers @ Freds Pass @ 1pm 

A Sunday afternoon lunch time special south of the Berrimah line! Expect the kids on the hill to be busy retrieving a few balls with Short and Weatherald at the top of the NT line-up. A great afternoon at the home of one of the great local clubs in Darwin.  

Match 7 – Six and Sunset (FREE ENTRY)

Sunday 11 August – Pakistan Shaheens v Melbourne Stars @ Gardens Oval @ 3pm 

Nothing better than a Sunday afternoon sunset at Mindil Beach Market...except maybe some cricket at Gardens Oval beforehand. Expect to see some serious talent on display when the fifth biggest country in the world takes on the biggest BBL brand in the country.  

Match 20 - Business Bash 

Thursday 15 August – Perth Scorchers v Adelaide Strikers @ Gardens Oval @ 3pm 

Cricket and corporate will come together for a Chamber of Commerce Luncheon where guests will be treated to a keynote speech from an all-time Australian great with 100 Test caps to his name.  

Match 24 - Multicultural Celebration 

Friday 16 August – Pakistan Shaheens v Bangladesh A @ TIO Stadium @ 6pm 

Witness the culture, colour, noise and passion for the game as two sub-continent cricket powerhouses showcase their next generations of talent at TIO Stadium. If last year is anything to go by expect things to get loud!  

Matches 28-30 – Finals Day 

Sunday 18 August – Semi-Finals and Final @ TIO/DXC @ All Day 

We’ve taken a leaf out of the book of the ECB and put together a classic T20 finals day, with two semi-finals in the morning and the final in the afternoon. A cracking day of cricket and a brilliant atmosphere for players and spectators.
