2026 Study NT Top End T20 Series

The Study NT Top End T20 Series returns to Darwin from 20 to 30 August 2026, bringing elite T20 cricket back to the Northern Territory.

The 2026 tournament is tentatively set to feature nine teams, with each team scheduled to play six regular-round matches before finals.

The tournament will bring together domestic, international and emerging cricket talent, with matches to be played at venues across Darwin including DXC Arena, TIO Stadium, Gardens Oval and Gerry Wood Oval.

The Study NT Top End T20 Series continues to grow as a unique winter cricket opportunity, providing teams with access to high-quality T20 competition in Australian conditions while showcasing Darwin as a destination for sport, travel and culture.

Further team and squad announcements will be made progressively over the coming weeks, with the full fixture and venue details to be released closer to the tournament.

Finals format

The top four teams on the ladder at the end of the regular rounds will progress to finals.

The finals series will feature two semi-finals, with 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd, followed by the Grand Final.

The semi-finals and Grand Final are set to be played on Sunday 30 August 2026, making it a huge final day of T20 cricket in Darwin.

Fans travelling to Darwin, or locals planning to make a full weekend of it, should consider booking in leave for Monday 31 August.

Nepal confirmed to return

Nepal is the first team confirmed for the 2026 Study NT Top End T20 Series, returning to Darwin after a memorable first appearance in 2025.

Nepal’s first visit to the Top End T20 Series captured the attention of cricket fans locally and internationally, with strong support from Darwin’s Nepalese community and a vibrant match-day atmosphere across the tournament.

Fans can now secure a Season Pass to guarantee access to every Nepal match across the regular rounds, along with all other regular matches once the full fixture is released.
