NT Cricket and our proud partners at AANT are delighted to announce that the winner of September’s ‘AANT Volunteer of the Month’ Award is Roz Lavercombe of Palmerston Cricket Club in Darwin.
September Volunteer of the Month - Roz Lavercombe
Roz tirelessly attends Palmerston Cricket Club games, spending countless hours behind the camera to capture memories for players and their families.
Her involvement spans across all levels of the club, from junior matches on Saturday mornings to senior games in the afternoons and even the Uder 19s and various Sunday competitions. Rain or shine, Roz can be found on the sidelines, camera in hand, capturing each crucial moment of the game.
Her dedication doesn't stop at taking photos. Roz spends even more hours after each match editing, organising and sharing the photos.
Nominating Roz for the September Volunteer of Month award, Palmerston Cricket Club Junior Co-Ordinator Briony Gallagher said Roz has captured some very special memories for the Palmerston Cricket Club and the entire club are truly thankful.
Even when accepting her award Roz said she was straight back home to edit more photographs!
"I'm really thankful to NT Cricket and AANT, this is a total surprise.
"Thank you to Briony for nominating me, I enjoy being able to combine my love of cricket and photography".
Roz will receive a 12-month Premium AANT Membership along with a $250 United fuel voucher.
Nominations are now open for October’s AANT Volunteer of the Month. If you would like to nominate a valued volunteer at your club, this month’s nomination form can be found by clicking here.
