June Volunteer of the Month: Denise Coady

A lifelong member of the PINTs family, Denise Coady has been the heart and engine of the club for more than 30 years. Her presence is felt across every part of the club, from scoring games and supporting training sessions to running the canteen and managing the club’s social media. Whether she’s posting team lineups, highlighting player milestones or sharing club news, Denise plays a key role in keeping the PINTs community connected.

Denise currently manages the Women’s team, where her contribution is especially impactful. She supports players at training, helps score on game days and is always on hand to guide new female imports into the team environment. Her efforts ensure the program operates smoothly and continues to grow.

Last May, Denise was also spotted volunteering at the Mother’s Day Classic, fundraising on behalf of the club. Her service stretches well beyond match day, and while much of her work happens behind the scenes, her dedication does not go unnoticed.

Reflecting on her volunteer journey, Denise shared,

“Volunteering to me just means helping our cricket club and community, trying to get more people interested, more locals and imports to come and have a go with us. I’ve been part of this club pretty much my whole life. My mum and dad used to volunteer, my brother played and was on the committee, and I’ve been helping since I was a kid. I love promoting our players and their achievements. Our women’s team is going strong this year with two teams, which is great to see. My advice is simple: if you want to help, just get into it."
