Northern Territory Cricket is pleased to confirm that 13 marquee matches from the 2025 Top End T20 Series sponsored by Tourism NT will be streamed live and free across Australia on 7plus Sport, following a new broadcast agreement with the Seven Network.
The move to 7plus is a major boost for the event, with Channel Seven recognised as the ‘Home of Cricket’ in Australia and broadcaster of flagship events including the Big Bash League and Cricket Australia's International Summer of Cricket.
From 14 to 24 August, international sides Nepal, Pakistan Shaheens, Bangladesh ‘A’ and the Chicago Kingsmen will be joined by Big Bash League academies from Hobart Hurricanes, Perth Scorchers, Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, ACT Comets and NT Strike, competing in the warmth of Darwin’s dry season against a backdrop of the Top End’s unique beauty.
Staged in the heart of the dry season, the Top End offers world-class playing conditions at a time of year when much of Australia is in winter, providing a rare chance for elite competition during the traditional off-season. This partnership will elevate the Series’ national profile, giving players the opportunity to perform in front of a wider audience and fans across the country.
NT Cricket CEO, Gavin Dovey, said the broadcast deal was a significant step forward for the tournament.
"The Top End T20 Series has quickly grown into an exciting T20 event on the Australian cricket calendar, attracting elite talent from around the world. Partnering with 7plus Sport allows us to showcase Darwin and the Northern Territory to cricket fans right across the country. This visibility not only elevates the competition, but also provides an incredible platform to market and promote the Top end as a destination."
Seven Network Head of Cricket, Joel Starcevic, said:
"We’re thrilled to expand our cricket offering with the addition of the Top End T20 competition, live and free on 7plus Sport, Australia’s Home of Cricket.
Australians couldn't get enough of last Summer's Big Bash League, so we're giving cricket fans access to more domestic T20 cricket than ever before, and the best part is, it's free."
