Northern Territory Cricket is excited to announce the dates for our annual Remote Cricket Carnivals for the 2026/27 season.
For more than 22 years, these long-standing Remote Cricket Carnivals have brought communities together through cricket - creating opportunities to celebrate culture, strengthen connections and promote healthy, active lifestyles. The Remote Cricket Carnivals have continued to grow year on year, expanding into surrounding communities and providing more Territorians with the opportunity to participate.
As part of the 2026/27 Remote Cricket Carnivals, NT Cricket will deliver a range of community engagement activities, including cricket clinics at local schools, volunteer development sessions, coach education courses and equipment donations. These initiatives are designed to build local capacity, encourage ongoing participation and create a sustainable legacy that extends well beyond each carnival.
The Remote Cricket Carnivals also provide an important pathway to the annual Imparja Cup, Australia's largest Indigenous cricket carnival. Across the four divisions of Schools, Women's Community, Men's Community and Major Centres, the Imparja Cup celebrates the talent, culture and spirit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities from across the Northern Territory - and remains Australia's largest Indigenous Cricket tournament.
