Umpiring & Officiating

Become An Umpire

Congratulations on choosing to start your officiating journey and joining over 5,000 registered umpires across the country.

Umpires play an important role in the game of cricket and we are glad that you are interested in getting involved. The first step on your journey is to register your details within the Community Cricket website. It takes approximately 5 minutes to sign up and this handy guide walks you through the simple steps you need to take to complete your registration.

Registering as an umpire provides you with access to the resources and online courses available on the Community Cricket website as well as local support from NT Cricket and the NT Cricket Match Officials Association (NTCMOA).

The recruitment and co-ordination of umpires in the Northern Territory is administered by the NTCMOA (Northern Territory Cricket Match Officials Association) who focus on producing capable and competent umpires for all levels of cricket through the delivery of authorised training and education programs.

Umpire accreditation courses and seminars are held regularly in the Territory. Visit our Accreditation & Pathway page for more information.
